Our Week (01/26 - 02/01)

William's friend Ethan came over for a play date, and we grabbed some McDonald's and joined Owen for lunch at the school.
This girl's got braces!

Mom gave Emma her first haircut this week.
Wednesday was the 100th day of school.
My favorite line is the one about him being able to spit out his teeth (dentures).
The girls dressed up Emma and said she looks like Baby Yoda.
We also had lunch with Heidi this week.
The next few pictures are of the district University Interscholastic League tournament. There are about half a dozen different academic competitions, and each school in the district gets to send three kids to each competition. With twenty elementary schools in the district, there are up to sixty kids competing in each event. Liz placed 5th in Spelling, and Heidi placed 4th in Ready Writing.

Smart and beautiful

The girls' school, Windermere, placed 3rd overall--out of 20 elementary schools in the district.
(It was the last award announced, so by then nearly everyone had gone home.)

Heidi and Rose both placed in Ready Writing. I love that these girls get along so well and have so many common interests. They've been in the same ward and same school class since kindergarten, and we live within walking distance.
