Our Week (05/24 - 05/30)

On the last day of school, there was a drive-by parade so that the kids could say bye to their teachers. We made posters:

Mrs. Sims (All three kids had her in 1st grade)
Mrs. Tolentino (Both Heidi and Owen had her for kindergarten)
Ms. Corey (Liz had her for 3rd grade last year)

William gave himself a haircut this week. Scott gave him a buzz cut to try and even it out, but you can still see a few spots.
Even William is getting in on the Zoom action. He had his "preschool graduation" this week.
William made a birdfeeder
Owen chose McDonald's Happy Meals for his birthday dinner.
7 years old and a 2nd grader now!

In the morning the kids like to chase the rainbow light on our wall.
We watched the SpaceX launch on Saturday! (The black dots are dead spots. We got this TV back in 2011, and the kids touched it too much when they were little and killed the pixels. Usually we keep this TV out in the garage.)

Berry Springs Again

We went back, because when we went a few weeks ago William didn't have shoes. So this time we got to explore a bit more:
Something you can do with a giant stump... turn it into a bench. (We have one in our backyard.)
Liz found this mushroom.
The spring water is really clear, so you can easily see to the bottom. We saw lots of fish.
And butterflies. (Can you spot it?)

Emma loved the "gonkey."

Our Week (05/17 - 05/23)

Most of our pics this week are of the backyard. We've been spending a lot of time working out there lately:

Check out the crazy tree roots!

 And some cute Emma pics:
Ice cream fiend

I love toddler pigtails!
Somersalts! Or maybe she just enjoys looking at the world upside down...
"I'm a jedi!" He came up with the idea to use an ace bandage to make a sash. (Inspired by Lando Calrissian? Not sure.)
Owen's writing homework this week.

Spicewood Valley Trail, Take 2

We went back again after yesterday, because Mom wanted to see the waterfall. We approached it from a different trailhead this time.
