This is how the boys spent all of our DI practices, watching Disney shows that I downloaded on the tablet.

(Full disclosure: There were only 7 teams in their division, so that puts them firmly in the middle, lol.)

About the tournament (taken from the DI website): 

A Destination Imagination Team Challenge is an open-ended project that teams work on over an extended period of time, usually 2-4 months. 

A Destination Imagination tournament is the ultimate celebration of creativity and innovation, and is an opportunity for kids to connect with and support other creative thinkers who participate in the program. Each year, volunteers help run more than 200 DI tournaments around the world.

Regional Destination Imagination tournaments are open to all teams registered with DI. At a tournament, teams will compete against other teams in their Challenge Level (i.e., Elementary, Middle, etc.) and Challenge Category (i.e., Scientific, Fine Arts, etc.).

Teams that qualify at the regional level will have the opportunity to compete at their state (Affiliate) tournament. The top-tiered teams from each state qualify to participate in Global Finals, our culminating international tournament that takes place each May and includes more than 8,000 kids from 15+ countries. With more than 17,000 people attending the event, Global Finals is the world’s largest celebration of creativity.

Our Week (02/16 - 02/22)

Reason #784 that potty training is the worst. Dude used an entire jumbo roll of toilet paper in one sitting.
Guess who got to fish it all out... Guys. I hate potty training. So. Much. #Tired

Emma hates her play yard. She likes to climb halfway up the side and just scream until we take her out.

We had several friends over. Scott always takes over entertaining them, because he's more fun than I am.

At the Regional Science Fair

Lunch break... We took advantage of being in Downtown Austin, and I checked another restaurant off my bucket list!

(I got a reuben at my foodie restaurant, and the girls had Whataburger.)

Oh, and Lizzie got some vegan ice cream at Sweet Ritual. (Everything on their menu is vegan.)

The regional science fair is a big deal--with kids from all over Central Texas. At the elementary level, everybody walks away with either a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place ribbon.

Our Week (02/09 - 02/15)

We subbed in Primary on Sunday and talked about 2 Nephi 2:27. This kid is from one of Scott's ministering families.

Our Week (02/02 - 02/08)

It snowed! Kind of.

William really wanted to build a snowman, but the snow was too soft and wouldn't stick.

We met up with Aunt Allison in Waco. We checked out Magnolia Market and Baylor University:

William was in love with the water station. He also struggled to master the art of drinking out of a cone cup (notice the front of his jacket).

This place is called the Cathedral of Junk, or as Owen calls it, "the dump." There were three levels of junk that has been arranged artistically in a guy's backyard. The kids all loved it and can't wait to go back again.
