Our Week (11/26 - 12/02)

Both of the girls passed their math facts tests this week and got prizes from the principal / assistant principal:

On Saturday we went to the DeSTEMber Fest, where they had lots of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics activities for school-age girls.
This activity involved using a battery to create a circuit to light up Rudolph's nose. Fun idea.
These are physics majors from UT-Austin. They had all sorts of cool gadgets that the kids could play with, like a hand-powered generator, a hand boiler, etc.
This was super cool. The girls used smartphone apps to controls these "Shperos" (spherical robots) to play air hockey.
The library had a really cool, Polar Express-themed storytime. The kids dressed in their pajamas, made "reindeer food" and a picture frame, ate cookies and hot chocolate, and listened to the story. They all got a bell to take home. Here's Aunt Allison helping the kids make their reindeer food for Christmas Eve.
At a Relief Society brunch.
Rooting for the Bulldogs... SEC Champions!
