Bull Creek

This hike was particularly beautiful because it has rained some lately, and the waterfalls were extra impressive:

Our Week (03/15 - 03/21)

We enjoyed our home church last Sunday. The girls gave talks, and President Nelson was our special guest speaker. We sang songs the kids have been practicing for the Primary program, and we had Primary straight from the Come Follow Me manual. It took about an hour and was just right. Here are the girls' talks:

Her topic was "How does the word of God heal the wounded soul?" (Jacob 2:8).

Her topic was: "What does it mean to be pure in heart and look unto God with firmness of mind?" (Jacob 3:1-2).

Shamrock Shakes for St. Patrick's Day

This is how she eats Lucky Charms (picks out all the marshmallows and leaves the rest).
The kids decided to have an election. They made campaign posters and even gave campaign speeches.
Lizzie promises: "No stress for kids & adults!" Heidi says, "I promise little friends for people that are lonely." And Owen says he'll "do as much paperwork as [he] can."

Butler Hike & Bike Trail

It's rainy today, so we decided to go with a paved trail in Downtown Austin:

"Always Trust Your Cape." There were quite a few of these belts with messages along the trail.

Mayfield Park and Preserve

Can you spot the peacock in the background?

There were at least 2 dozen fish swimming around in the koi pond.

You can kinda sorta see the waterfall. And don't you just love Owen's eyebrows?

St. Edward's Park

We visited here once before, almost four years ago, but we went back today for our morning hike. The kids especially enjoyed seeing the fish, turtles, and frogs:

Emma wanted to be put down so she could explore on her own.

I thought the rock overhanging in the background was really interesting.
Check out those (cypress) knees!

"None shall pass!" (Scott introduced them to Lord of the Rings recently.)
