Happy Easter!

Easter morning... The Easter bunny came!

Too many eggs! We had to get out a third basket.

Success!

The Easter bunny even brought the girls princess dresses... Lizzie has been looking forward to this for weeks!

We also got some kites, some puzzles, and a new Look and Find book.

Then after breakfast we we went for a walk. It was beautiful out this weekend: in the 40s and 50s.
(This morning it's sprinking a little bit.)

Dress Up

Grandma Miller sent the girls an Easter package, which we opened last night right before bed. First thing this morning, the girls wanted to play dress up:

Lizzie's Castle

Lizzie is constantly rearranging the furniture in the toy room. This time, she stacked her desk, trampoline, and kitchen set to make a "castle."

Here, you can see yet another one of Lizzie's original fashions. She's wearing two sparkly princess skirts with a red shirt and purple tiara. The pink tennis shoes and blue ankle socks are obscured by the trampoline.

This is just an awesome face. And yes, she's wearing a Christmas shirt.

Heidi's Latest Mischief

For the last week or two, Heidi's favorite thing to do is to push a chair up to the kitchen sink and "help" Mommy with the dishes. The end result is usually a wet kitchen floor and a soaking-wet Heidi. This was Mommy's ingenious solution to keep Heidi out of the kitchen in between meals. (If you can't tell, these are two child safety gates stacked on top of each other, because Heidi can easily climb over one child gate.)

Picnic

Lizzie organized this picnic the other day. She did all the work herself, from selecting the food to setting the table. (Don't mind the huge pile of unfolded laundry in the background, or the fact that Heidi isn't wearing a shirt... Mommy is seven months pregnant and teaching three online classes right now, so life is a little hectic.)

Liz likes to help Mommy put away the groceries. Today, she decided to build a castle with all the non-perishables. Behold! :o)

Heidi's got spaghetti sauce on her face because we had Italian tonight, and Mommy didn't bother to wash her face before taking the picture. Oops.

Painting

The girls painted last night. (Mommy made them take off their clothes so as not to stain them; then they took a bath afterward.)

Walk

On Monday after family night we went for a walk by the Maumee River. It had been raining earlier that day, so it was really pretty out. Heidi liked jumping in the puddles.
