Day 1 - Dallas and Monroe

The first stop on our trip was Dallas. We met up with Grandma and Grandpa Ellsworth at the temple, and then we went to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch:

We did a lot of driving that day. We stayed the night in Monroe, Louisiana, where we went to dinner with Heidi Baker's brother Lyle and his wife Marcia:

Another New Splash Pad... And the Dentist

Because he's got termites in his smile... (Owen brought a buddy to the girls' dental appointments.)

Our Week (06/17 - 06/23)

Emily and Owen went to Wendy's for Frosties:

We checked out this new park in Georgetown; it's about 20 miles northwest of us. Normally we wouldn't drive that far just to go to a park, but starting next week it would cost $16 for us to get in, so we thought we'd go see what the fuss was all about while it was still free:

Infamous telescope toy. Owen had a huge meltdown here because some little girl wouldn't give him a turn. He literally wailed for 15 minutes straight in the car on the way home. 

The land used to be a ranch, so there was a horse theme. 

I thought this sign was funny. One of the girls made it for the boys' room. (The black scribbles are compliments of William.)

Heidi went to a birthday party with some friends from school:

End of School Fun

Both Lizzie and Heidi got four ribbons at their awards assemblies this week:

AR Parade

Liz and Heidi both got to march in the Accelerated Reader parade at school on Friday:

Liz got 100 AR points this school year. She was one of the 6 top readers in the school.

Heidi got 11.9 AR points.

William was just a cute spectator. Owen was busy in the book corner, reading books.

Owen's Birthday (Round 2)

We had a Grinch birthday party for Owen two weeks ago when the Howells were in town. This week was his actual birthday. While Dad was at work and the girls were at school, Emily and the boys went to Chuck E. Cheese for the lunch buffet and games:

Then that night we had cupcakes, ice cream, and a few more presents:

The cupcakes were right out of the oven, so they were too hot to frost. #underachievermom

(Even though there are 6 candles, he's actually 5.)
