McDonald's and Olander Fossil Park

It started raining just as we got there, so we didn't stay long. We'll have to try again sometime.

Pioneer Day Picnic

Saturday we went to the ward Pioneer Day picnic. It was right on the banks of the Maumee River... very beautiful! Here are the girls enjoying the barbecue:

7 Weeks Old

This little guy turned seven weeks old on Wednesday. Time is sure flying by:

Finger Painting

Earlier this week we tried our hand at finger painting (forgive the pun):

The final product... I was pretty impressed with Lizzie's apple tree and sun.

For lunch one day this week, we drew / colored menus and ordered off the menu like we were at a restaurant:

Fun with Boxes

Our monthly Amazon diaper shipment came this week. We used the boxes to build "Lizzie's castle":

It used to look "cooler." The blanket was stretched over the top to make a roof, and the girls crawled under the piano bench to get inside. But the roof "melted," and the girls fell asleep. Both of them are taking a nap inside in the picture.

Then when the boxes started to tear, we traced the girls and colored the life-sized "paper" dolls:

Tomorrow is recycle day, so the girls are now heartbroken that their "shadows" are ending up in the recycle bin. :o(

Aunt Allison

Aunt Allison came for a visit yesterday. Yay! Our first order of business was to celebrate Canada Day... We ate donuts from Tim Horton's (a Canadian chain) and watched Anne of Green Gables.
