Myrtle Pfluger Teer Greenbelt

Heidi had a morning Zoom meeting with her school class, so we just went for a short hike:

Our Week (03/22 - 03/28)

While at Costco, we learned that they were in the process of unloading 30 packages of toilet paper off the truck. We lucked out and got one of the packages. We had to wait in this line though.
I can't remember the last time gas was this low!
It's supposedly a bad thing, though, because Texas relies on oil and gas for revenue.
Scott found this little snake while digging in the backyard.

Charro Ranch Park Nature Trail (Dripping Springs)

This time, Scott took the kids hiking so Emily could get some work done in peace and quiet:

Notice the girls' shirts. They're both wearing Dad shirts to celebrate Dad's birthday.

Randy Morrow Trail at Booty Road Park (Georgetown)

Liz loves bodies of water. Whenever we go on a hike, she always makes sure there's a lake, river, or creek.

We saw a cardinal, a heron, and lots of turkey vultures.

Heidi said she wasn't feeling well and stayed home.

This hike was really green and beautiful.

There were a whole bunch of turkey vultures roosting in that tree in the background.

Any time the ground became even slightly sloped or uneven, Emma sat down on her bum and scooted.
They found a cactus.
Owen wanted me to take a picture of the constellations (on the ground). P.S. What's up with his eyebrows?

Can you spot the heron? Mom also saw two deer before they spooked and ran.

Mills Pond

This was our least-favorite hike so far. With the new shelter-in-place order in effect, we thought we'd stick close to home, but it was just too crowded! It made it stressful to try to keep the required 6 feet of social distancing...

Bull Creek District Park

We did this same hike three years ago, but this time we went farther since the kids are older:
