Road trip...
We stopped in Iraan to fill up on gas and go to the bathroom. We found this oddity... (It tasted a lot like a Hot Pocket.)
So we were driving down the I-10 in west Texas, and Owen somehow managed to get tangled up in his seatbelt. The restraint locked up, tight around his waist, and he couldn't get out. We pulled over at Hoefs Road and tried a few things, but we couldn't get him out either. We called 9-1-1, and the sheriff was dispatched with a pair of scissors to cut him free. Luckily, after trying a few more things (including stripping him down to his underwear), we were able to get him free just as the Reeves County Sheriff arrived.

We had dinner with Uncle Eric at a Mexican food restaurant by our hotel in El Paso. It's not a great picture, but you can kinda sorta see the rash on Emma's face. Emily ended up making a 2 am CVS run because we ran out of infant Tylenol. Then Saturday morning we took her to the urgent care because she was so restless and irritable, and Emily thought she likely had an ear infection. Turns out, it was just a sore throat. She has had fifths disease all week, so she had a high fever for 3 days, hasn't been sleeping well, and has been really clingy. Hopefully she's past the worst now.
