Heidi and Emma

Heidi is getting baptized next weekend, and Emma is getting blessed, so we had their pictures taken:
The dress is trimmed with pearls from Grandma Heidi's wedding dress.
Emma is 3 weeks old in these pictures.
This was Mom's blessing dress. Liz and Heidi wore it too.

Houston / LaGrange

Jamie Palmer (Emily's roommate of 3 years from BYU) got married in the Houston Temple.
We saw these giant bees at the temple. The kids named this one "Big Buzzer."
Pit stop in LaGrange, TX
Monument Hill State Park. The monument is dedicated to a bunch of Texans that were killed by a bunch of Mexicans back in the mid-1800s. If you want to read some interesting history, read about the Black Bean Lottery.

Kreische Home (and brewery ruins). This home was built back in the mid-1800s by a German immigrant, so the state maintains it as a historical home and as a tribute to European immigrant settlers. This area was settled by German and Czech immigrants, so we also tried the Czech-inspired kolaches at Weikel's Bakery. (4.7 stars on Google, Nor!)

Miss Emma

13 days old. She looks way chubby in this pic. She quickly outgrew her "Newborn" clothes.

Here she's showing off her dark hair.
I love newborn cuddles!

10th Anniversary

For our anniversary, we crossed two places off the Bucket List:
Lunch at the Oasis on Lake Travis (a restaurant with outdoor seating and a great view)

Check out all the tiered seating overlooking the lake
Check out the map in the background
There were cool statues all over the place. This one was fun.
And then we had dessert at Chez Zee:

Chocolate mousse and lemon rosemary cake (A whole cake goes for $48, if that tells you anything. Yum.)

Storybook Character Parade

Liz = Hermione from Harry Potter
Heidi = The Wicked Witch of the West from Wizard of Oz

Owen = Spider-Man from The Amazing Spider-Man

Fall Fun Festival

Scott took William to this fun Halloweenfestival at Old Settlers Park, specifically for toddlers and preschoolers:
