Heidi's Dance Recital

Heidi's face is really washed out in the video because of all the lights, but she is the tall, skinny thing--front and center. (Here is a link to another video of the performance: https://vimeo.com/217893306/046a46545e.)
Heidi's dance carpool friends: Chelsea (from the ward) and Roxy (from the stake).

Wearing make up!

I love this pose!
The first half of the recital Owen kept his ears covered the entire time and played on the Kindle. The second half of the recital I took the Kindle away and he did a contortionist act on my lap. (I can tell already... He is going to be very cultured.)

These pictures turned out kind of grainy, but isn't she pretty?

Grandpa Baker's Wedding

Dad and William got to fly out to New York together for Grandpa Baker's wedding:

School Days

The girls are counting down to the end of school... 11 1/2 more days!
The kindergartners are doing an ABC countdown. Friday was a Hawaiian themed day.
And Lizzie was a narrator in a class play about Tumbleweed Stew.
Meanwhile, Owen and I went on a date! William is in New York with Dad for a few days, so it was just me and Owen. We went to Lick Ice Cream...
...And played at the Thinkery, one of Owen's favorite places.

San Antonio Trip

We made a 24-hour trip to San Antonio to visit the temple and have a little family fun besides.
In celebration of Cinco De Mayo, we tried out a new Mexican restaurant in San Marcos.
We got to go swimming at our hotel.
We got to see the Riverwalk (one of our favorite places in San Antonio).
And we checked out a really cool park called Yanaguana Garden:

The kids were excited to play "wizards chess."

Lizzie's Fiesta Field Day

When I was elementary school, I wasn't a huge fan of field day. There were just a bunch of track and field events, and I was never any good. But this field day was fun. They had fourteen different stations for the kids. (Not all of them are pictured.) The theme was "Fiesta Field Day" for Cinco de Mayo.
Tug O War

Mrs. Sims made an extra shirt for Owen. Owen wouldn't wear it, so William did.

This game was cute. They decorated gunny sacks like tacos.
Meanwhile, the boys had fun playing on the playground. (William is really good at slides now.)
Water relay

They had some really fun decorations. This one was my favorite--of the principal and assistant principal.
Snow cones!
Lizzie's class in their matching blue tie dye shirts.

Greeter

Heidi used her "Stars Bucks" that she earned so that she could be a greeter in the morning. She got to sit in the giant chair and say hello to everyone as they arrived at school. She was really excited about it.

MISC

Lately, the girls have really enjoyed dressing the same so that they can trick people. (Most everyone has a hard time telling them apart. For this picture, they even switched backpacks and shoes.) They're wearing their ASU shirts because it was College Shirt Wednesday.

This picture was taken at a school activity.
This picture is very unflattering, but Lizzie won an award for passing a math facts test (kind of like Top Gun). She passed the first three levels, and now she is on  to the 2nd Grade level.
Every so often we join this cute girl for lunch at school.
This is Heidi's dance class, practicing for their recital (coming up in a week).
