Surprise Package

Yesterday we received a surprise package from Grandma and Grandpa Baker and Aunt Sarah! (Mommy took some liberties and made up some captions for the pictures below.)
Heidi: "Oh look, a card!"

"Why is this thing so hard to open?"

"Woah! This thing makes music! Love it!"

Liz: "What!? It makes music? That's awesome. Let me see that!"

[Both girls laugh and otherwise enjoy their musical card.]

[The girls put on their new purple flower hats.]
Heidi: "Finally! I can have my musical card back."
Liz: "No way! Halloween socks. Now if I can just get the tags off."

[These socks are adult size, presumably for Mommy. But Liz told me: "No Mom, they're too medium for you!"]

Liz: "All right. Now that I have my cool hat and Halloween socks on, let's check out that musical card again."

"No way! There's bubble wrap in this box too!?!"

Owen: "I'm hungry!"
[Owen turned 5 months old yesterday.]

[Then the girls proceeded to play with the box... Guess who's inside? Liz!]

[Popping their purple bubble wrap.]
Verdict: Grandma and Grandpa Baker's and Aunt Sarah's Halloween package was a HUGE success!

Family Night!

Popcorn and a Movie

Heids and I made homemade poporn and watched "The Croods" this morning.
Lizzie boycotted the activity. She is a girl who knows what she wants--and doesn't want.

Halloween Party

Tonight we got to go to another Halloween party. Notice Heidi's costume change from last night. Oh, and Liz decided that the handle of her broom would make a great "wand." (I think she was going for scepter, but just doesn't know that word yet.)
Princess Merida and Princess Snow White
Notice the shoes! She had her pick of pretty "princess" shoes, but she wanted to wear these old sneakers. :o)

COOOOLD!

Daddy took the girls to the zoo for an Environmental Law Society event today. Here they are, all bundled up. (Today's high was 50, and the low was 34.) :o(

Trunk or Treat

Our cute little Tigger, takin' a snooze
Scott says she's Sacagawea, because he hates Pocahontas.
Princess Merida!
These ones make me smile because of the interaction between the two girls:
Queen Elizabeth, giving orders. :o)

Silly Lizzie

This morning after breakfast I told Lizzie to "throw her bowl in the sink." She (innocently) took me literally and threw the bowl in the sink--after which I threw the broken bowl in the garbage.

Then when we got home from the store I found--not one--but three pink scarves in my bags. I wondered why our total at checkout was higher than anticipated. :o)

Liz the Composer

As we were driving home from the pumpkin patch today, Liz made up a song about our little excursion. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the first verse (about carving the pumpkin) on tape.

Gust Brothers Pumpkin Farm

Doesn't she look so grown up here?

The Kiddos

Eating an apple in the basket of her shopping cart.

Lizzie got jealous that I was taking a picture of Heidi, so she said: "Mom, take a picture of my party!"

I just love that he sleeps with his little feet up (and sucking on his thumb)!

At Uncle Jeff and Aunt Sherry's

Donuts... The Breakfast of Champions!
We think this was Heidi's first exposure to donuts. We're pretty sure she enjoyed it.

We love this little guy!

This sleeping position can't be comfortable!

He is just so cute I can't stand it!

Sunday Afternoon Nap

Between sessions of Conference.

More "Fashions by Lizzie"

This picture really doesn't do it justice, but she's wearing a pink tutu with two High School Musical bandanas underneath (like a skirt), and an artist's smock over the top. Oh, and let's not forget the purple tiara. :o)
I include this picture because it's (sadly) the only picture I took while Michael was staying with us last week.

I've been shot!

Owen had his four-month check up last Monday. He measured in at the 79th percentile for weight and the 84th percentile for height. He also had to get a whole bunch of shots. (Notice the bandaids.) Poor little guy.
