Longhorn Cavern State Park. Believe it or not, this is a natural formation that looks like a dog. They said he is Rocky the "rockweiler." ;)

Here's one of the many tri-color bats that we saw. The cavern is home to dozens of them. They're considered the "chicken nuggets" of the caves.
The cavern was cleared out in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. They removed debris, cleared walkways, and built stairs to make it more accessible:

We went mini-golfing at Peter Pan's Mini-Golf in Downtown Austin. The place has been around for ever, so it's on all the Austin bucket lists:

This place had a fascinating history. In addition to the stuff listed here, it was also a nuclear fallout shelter during the Cold War.

This was Red Ribbon Week at school, so there were different dress-up days. Here is Heidi for crazy hair day. It's hard to see in the picture, but her entire head is covered in ribbons:

Heidi hosted a party for the girls from her school class. They jumped on the trampoline, ate pizza and other goodies, played Halloween charade, watched Hotel Transylvania, etc.:
