Aunt Allison came for a visit. We split trash fries at Liberty Barbecue:
Emma said, "I am Rapunzel, and this is my tower!"
Longhorn Cavern State Park. Believe it or not, this is a natural formation that looks like a dog. They said he is Rocky the "rockweiler." ;)These are called angel's wings:
Emma wanted to either piggyback ride or ride on Mom's shoulders pretty much the entire time:The cavern was cleared out in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. They removed debris, cleared walkways, and built stairs to make it more accessible:
We wore her out:
We drove around and looked at Halloween yard displays at night:
We went mini-golfing at Peter Pan's Mini-Golf in Downtown Austin. The place has been around for ever, so it's on all the Austin bucket lists:

This is the "diamond" room:
Another picture of the angel's wings (and the devil's footstool down below):
This place had a fascinating history. In addition to the stuff listed here, it was also a nuclear fallout shelter during the Cold War.
Kolaches and breakfast tacos at Lonestar Kolaches:
Lunch at Taco Joint by UT campus:

We spent a while trying to make sense of this statue: #stillstumped #hippocamps

Emma thought it was funny that the alligator was biting the pirate's bum:
Mozart's on the Lake:
This was Red Ribbon Week at school, so there were different dress-up days. Here is Heidi for crazy hair day. It's hard to see in the picture, but her entire head is covered in ribbons:
And here are the kids for storybook character day:
Heidi hosted a party for the girls from her school class. They jumped on the trampoline, ate pizza and other goodies, played Halloween charade, watched Hotel Transylvania, etc.:
