H-E-B Field Trip

Owen and some of his preschool friends went on a field trip to H-E-B (the local grocery store) this morning:

You can see how William's black eye and scraped-up forehead are progressing.

The kids got to eat snacks: baby carrots from produce, bread and a cookie from the bakery, and milk from the dairy section.

The kids really got a kick out of the seafood section. This is an octopus.

With our tour guide. We started the year out with 6 kids, and now we're down to 4. One kid moved earlier this month, and another has to leave the group because his mom fractured her pelvis in a golf cart accident (!), so they're going to enroll him in a full-day preschool while she recovers. (Ashley didn't want to be in the picture, and Mallory was just visiting for the field trip.)

Haircut

The girls left out a pair of scissors (a no-no), and Owen decided to give himself a haircut.

I went to lunch with Elina and LeiLani (friends from high school) at Liberty Square and with LeiLani at Oreganos. Both times in downtown Gilbert.

I didn't take any pictures at Culver’s with Allison, Kristi, and Brent; of the Mesa Temple with Allison; of Matta’s with Allison and Rachel; or of any of the funeral stuff. 

Misc Pics

Doing some gardening. Scott recently planted some rosebushes, and the kids got some zinnia seed packets for Easter.

Menchie's for good report cards

These next three are just to document William's injury. He climbed on a 3' storage cabinet on our back porch with Owen and one of Owen's friends, and then he face planted on to the concrete. He scratched up his forehead and chin, and his right eye was really swollen. After a day or two it turned into a black eye. We had to keep a bandage on his forehead to keep him from scratching it. Poor kid:

At the school today, we saw this letter on the bulletin board. It's written by Lizzie to Owen.

One of the girls' friends, Jaiden, got baptized on Saturday.

For the past week or two, Owen's been asking me to pull over so he can pick me a bluebonnet. This patch is right down the street from our house.

At the awards assembly on Friday. Liz didn't make it because she was home sick.
