Trick or treating in Ohio is seriously the worst. Last year we didn't even go, and the year before it was raining. This year, it was 40 degrees with wind
and rain. We just went to a couple houses so we could say "been there,
done that."
Kinda funny story: Every time someone tried to give Lizzie chocolate, she said: "Um... I'm sorry, but I'm allergic to chocolate." (Embarrassing!) I should have prepped her better--to just say "thank you" and not make a big deal about it.

Carving Our Jack-O-Lantern
Cleaning out the guts |
Scott has been extra busy lately, so we had to carve our jack-o-lantern without him. This was Emily's first time doing it on her own. It turned okay (no cuts or missing appendages!), but I probably should have used pen instead of marker.

Halloween Party
Last night we hosted a Halloween party for all the youth from the ward. We had eleven youth show up, plus four adult leaders and a few others--two dozen people total. We had yummy food, Hotel Transylvania, and the YW leader brought a bunch of fun games. It was a good time. :)
(Liz was too busy watching the movie to actually smile for the camera.) |

We went back today--this time with Daddy--to pick out our pumpkin to carve.

More of Lizzie's Artwork
Liz produces a lot of artwork. I feel guilty about throwing it away, but the clutter drives me nuts. Taking pictures of her artwork relieves some of the guilt. So here you go... (As you can probably tell, Ms. Liz currently favors ink over crayon, colored pencils, and markers.)
